Career
My oncology training, in some of London’s leading teaching hospitals and in Christchurch, New Zealand, gave me a firm grounding in breast and lung cancer treatment.
A period of research in a Cancer Research UK laboratory helped me develop a specialist interest in breast cancer and clinical trials designed to improve treatment.
Since being appointed consultant clinical oncologist at the Kent Oncology Centre, Maidstone Hospital, in 2004 I have worked hard to develop the service delivered to our patients, particularly those with secondary breast cancer.
Comprehensive information, conveyed clearly, helps people feel more confident and at ease. That’s why I work with Breast Cancer Care on delivering patient-friendly information.
